Huh, I never even thought about that - just opened Synapse and started tinkering with the lights.

I'll tell you what - I have the next couple of days off work, so if somebody doesn't answer this question with "yes, there is - look here", or post one of their own, I'll go ahead and work out a tutorial for you. I'll PM you when it's ready. What keyboard are you using?

I have the Ornata, is it even possible to customize it. Also, if you were to make a tutorial, could you do the entire thing (like where to download it and everything).

That part is easy. Find it here. Might I also suggest that if you get a notification saying that there is an update to Synapse, that you download it from this page (same as the first link). That way, if things are actually worse for you, you still have the previous build to re-install.

The software itself will give you tips on how to use it. Please read the above comments, as well, as you will experience some differences between Synapse functionality on a Mac and on a Windows machine.

Sorry for not being clear earlier, I have synapses, but I was wondering how to do the special programming (light by light customization). I'm fairly sure that the program used for this is called Razer SDK, but I could be mistaken.

Anything other than what's available to do in Synapse, isn't available on Mac OS, only in Windows.

I have the black widow chroma x also and I don't have the chroma configuration either. but I did try this same keyboard with the software on a windows PC and the configurator was on there.

There isn't really a workaround unless you consider dual booting Win on your Mac one?

Hey, @Overtask, what makes you say that the Chroma Configurator for Mac is no longer available? I just updated to the latest version of Synapse today, and the feature is still there on my Blackwidow Chroma Stealth. It was there on the previous version, as well.

Wasn't there on mine, mind you I am using the BW X TE though, although a lot of others have noted that they don't have the feature including those with BW TEs. In that case it may be only for the regular Blackwidows?

well, i don't think any of you are going to like how you have to do this this but there is a workaround for those of you using blackwidow x keyboards and want a configurator. i discovered it by accident.

you need to have access to a blackwidow chroma keyboard. plug in the bw chroma, fire up synapse, select configurator, and design your custom lights. then save your profile(s). close it all out and unplug the bw chroma (return to best buy if necessary). then plug in your x chroma or your x te. select your profile(s). do not f with the 'effect' options at all. they deleted my saved profiles.

hope this helps some of you.

Any chance that Razer Synapse will be supporting the Blackwidow X Chroma anytime soon? I didn't realize before purchasing that the extra X in the name would mean that custom profiles are not supported, and I'm pretty disappointed.

Check out my temporary solution here (assuming you can borrow a blackwidow chroma...)
