I had a nice custom lighting configuration set up for my Razer Blackwidow X Chroma. Was working great on Windows and OS X 10.11, then a couple months ago the configurations got wiped out (all my lighting effects disappeared on the profile I'd made).

Now there's no lighting configuration under macOS 10.12, which kind of sucks. Though I understand that Apple has a reputation for randomly breaking software components between OS X/macOS upgrades, it'd be nice to know if there are plans to add the feature back in macOS 10.12, preferably with some kind of notification in the Razer Synapse software.

It's part of Razer Synapse. If you have a Razer peripheral and have customized it with the Razer software, then you already have it. Just look for the "lighting" tab.

And apparently, it only works with the Blackwidow keyboards, NOT the TE or X versions.

I'm not quite sure if the Chroma Configurator for Mac is available for BlackWidow Chroma v2 yet. The only keyboard that it is for sure available for Mac is the BlackWidow Chroma. My suggestion is to submit a feature request via Synapse.

It's been almost 1 year now that the Blackwidow X chroma is released and there is still no chroma configurator for it on mac. It really sucks.

+1 on waiting for configurator for v2. I've had to launch a windows VM, configure it there, save to the razer cloud, then load the mac razer synapse to sync. doesn't work half the time.

Got a reply on twitter that this is only available for BlackWidow Chroma v1 and not for v2; any estimates of when it will be available for v2?

I just bought this keyboard for the customization of the backlighting that it advertised to have on the packing and its does not work with mac. I think thats pretty crappy. If the software is not compatible it should not be sold as if it is. I spent a significant amount of money on this keyboard and i feel ripped off. I went to tech support with the problem told them what type of keyboard i had which is the Black Widow X tournament edition. They told me to reinstall hardware. I asked several times if because i had a mac it wouldn't work and they didn't tell me it wouldn't. They should tell their customer if their software is limited and not sell as full features.
This one keyboard might be going back tonight!!

Brewben: sorry, but this is not the truth. The keyboard works perfectly with MAC and under Bootcamp, because I use it in this way (Black Widow X). Under MAC you can re-assign the keys (i.e. I changed the left ALT to CMD) and the Chroma features are working. Individual lightning is NOT possible under MAC yet - that is true!

But we want the ability to change individual lightning under MacOS.

    It his finally out!
