Interesting idea for Paid to Play

I've let it be known that I hate grinding to hit that cap everyday, but I think its ridiculous to let the game idle as well and cheating. But if all the incredible stuff on the Razer store would be made available, ya, I would totally start idling that game everyday to hit that cap. I ain't gonna be a hypocrite and lie.

I'm going with the train of give more to razer buyers but keep something for "free users".
That's a good commit between give back to costumers and promote the brand to non-costumers

Oh you've misunderstood me! What I meant was when you buy something using money on the Razerstore that earns you zSilver, not that you can redeem anything at all using zSilver :) Alternatively it could allow you to purchase zGold and use that to pay for things too (zGold earns you zSilver already when bought).

Also it's not really 'grinding' if it's a game you play already. I don't like that they've made it inconsistent now what is available for earning zSilver on though. For example, I've been playing heaps of overwatch so it's been great building a balance just from that. If you have to "work" for it, I don't think people have the right attitude to it :)

I suppose there could potential be tiers, or specials for people who are loyal for a longer period, but I'm not sure how that'd be implemented really :)

I love SC2, that's my hardcore PC go to game. But when it was on the list last month and I was trying to hit that cap everyday it actually started becoming torturous towards the end of the month. It got to the point that I stopped playing it because the grind was to hard.

I'm pretty sure you're younger then me which is why you're able to take it better. Me, nah. 5 hours a day is too much at my age.

Well I mean if you're trying to hit the target everyday yeah, I did that for a bit with Dota but gave up and now I'm much more relaxed about it all haha. If it applied to Terraria I'd do it without even realising :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I'm 23 so I guess I'm younger maybe? Also I have a terrible sleeping pattern and write music for games so playing counts as "research" *cough*.

I'm generation X old. You've got me by a country mile! :smile_: You're body changes when you hit a certain age. You'll see. All I can say is enjoy your youth! It'll go faster then you think, I learned that the hard way. My Mom always told me never to get old, I shoulda listened! :smile_:

There was that talk about Razer-owners could have multipliers on earning zSilver and another like being it exclusive for Razer owners BUT what I definitely agree on is leave something for free users. But by the way things have been like abusing the rewards and selling it, I would just accept if Razer decided to do something about it.

Hahaha, yeah, I'm already dreading it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I'll live in denial as long as I can ;)

Yeah it's a shame people do that. I just ordered a DeathAdder Elite with it which is going to be my first Razer Mouse to replace my Logitech one and hopefully help my accuracy a little bit as a sniper :) As to multipliers it's hard to say what'll be fair and if they'd just reduce the base rate for others or make it faster for us. Personally I wouldn't mind some buffs to the zSilver earning rate of things other than Pay to Play. Currently that 900 zSilver is miles ahead of anything and everything else, and having it change games is gonna be a hinderance if it swaps to something you don't have or don't really like. We'll have to see though :)

    Here's a fix.
Give larger rewards for registered products that way u reward the loyal fans, and still let the less fortunate have a shot at the cult :)

PS. Pls fix the wires on the all hammerheads :)

sounds like a great idea to me, reward a loyal fan base, not just people who want to make an easy dollar. even those who cant afford a full suite of razer products surely can afford to at least get one to get started, and use the paid to play as a way to add to their razer products

Then there are people like me. Only a university student using a mouse that only costs less than $10. And I really would want a keyboard to not put more stress on my laptop keyboard. And I wish I could save more so that I can buy as soon as I can but that is just not possible in my case.
But after being introduced to Razer by my friend, regardless of Paid-to-Play or not, my dream now is to have a full Razer gear for myself. :smile_:

I have bunch of other, older Razer products that are not supported by synapse (and not only me), so probably if they will someday implement this idea - there should be ability to add older products (by serial unique serial number for example) :)

That's a good idea. You know the drill, when it re-sets. 1st one of the day btw.
I definitely wouldn't mind breaking out my Razer SC2 peripherals every once in a while. It'd be even sweeter if they worked on windows 10 like they do on 7 and 8! :wink_: That would be the icing on the cake!

I am down for this idea. The real question is when is the Razer Toaster happening? I would totally buy that regardless of ZSilver :D

    Ideas:

    1. Have exclusive rewards redeemable for people who own a Razer product. (Must be linked via Synapse, since they can just re-sell the product on a different website).

    2. Implement a system where Cortex tracks your apm in a game; if your apm does not exceed that amount it means they are afk (similar to a time-out for 5 - 10 minutes)

    3. Giff Razer Toaster

The question is - who sells Razer equpiment? IMHO - the one that already have the same (similar) in possesion.
Apm tracking - isn't it kind of spying, is it legal?
Anyway if any of above ideas would make Paid-2-Play stuff disapear from mentioned exchange platforms, i'm in with all of my limbs.
Thumbs up Razer, GJ, Keep it up.

The idea to limit this feature of earning silver through playing games and limiting it to Razer enthusiast who atleast owns and experienced Razer product is understandable. But to be honest, i don't own a Razer gear, i only use zVault to purchase games and stuff. I don't bad mouth about Razer product, i just cannot afford them atm. I believe there are alot of people like me who just enjoys what Razer paid to play offers, other than whining about prices etc.

You cannot stop a community from sharing their thoughts, even if its full of complaints and anything related. Steam users flooded Valve's dota 2 game with negative reviews just cause there's no more half life in a recent event , even when they have literally zero hours spent in the game. That doesn't mean you have to limit it to only those that played a certain amount of hours of dota 2 etc to be able to publish reviews to get a more positive/appreciative response now would you ?

Anyway, hopefully you will be able to make the right decision on this one.

    Peace.

It might be difficult thing to track because you can have synapse app and atleast 1 device connected to pc and you still could sell items and grind for it. I dont quite see a way how to fight against this.

I don't know if someone already suggested what I'm about to say but 10 pages of messages are a bit much to read:frown_:

But here it goes, why not meet people half way like offer people that don't have any razer gear some entry gear, like the more cheaper mice or keyboards, and give the ones that already have razer gear better gear?
