is Zsilver going to die?

It has become very clear that Razer made a mistake when they introduced "Paid to Play." Of course over night you can leave your PC on and rack in Zsilver, however is this killing the Zsilver economy? With Bitcoin we see that there is only a certain amount that can be mined, but with Zsilver there is no limit, meaning, when Razer said that they were going to be "adjusting the prices of Zsilver awards," we can not help but wonder what this means. For the people who have been abusing the Zsilver Paid to Play function, this could mean the time to cashout, however, maybe not. Razer has their hands tied in this situation, and I am intrested to see what happens. For the company this could mean lots of lost value, and with their failing IPO who knows what will happen next.

Hopefully, P2P isnt going to die. With some of the last updates Razer fixed the problem with AFK farm of zSilver. I think razer can easily fix the things. There's solution for everything, hopefully razer will reach it.

zSilvers won't get down after the suspension, p2p will, but if Razer really want to continue these services they provide for us, they'll find other methods of doing it even adjusting the p2p. There is just going to be more smart and long term ways to grind silvers.

I think Razer Staff will come up with more fun and less grinding way of earning zSilver.

You guys think it will come back...I have a strong feeling that it will not. The word indefinitely is pretty strong, they could have used another word if they knew they were going to be bringing it back.

Thank you all for your feedback, personally i hope that they reintroduce it in a better way, instead of it crashing and burning into an unrealistic arcade full of prizes that are just to lofty. Also note that if this happens the people who do legitimately earn Zsilver will be pissed.

the end of zsilver came to the doors of receiving a reward for all this time. If I feel angry

I would not think that scrap zsilver. What I expect/suggest they do to bring back p2p is create an achievement system similar to trophies here, and Gamerscore with Xbox, for the games we already play, adding new games and achievements as games come out. It would make playing the games a lot more interesting, and earning silver feel more rewarding in my opinion, as well as avoid over farming specific games.

I actually think that achievement thing is a very good idea which solves the AFK farming issue. However, wouldnt that will take a lot of integration with the games kinda like Chroma? The only relatively big game on the Chroma Workshop is Overwatch and maybe a couple others. With the past Paid to Play votings, people are voting for mostly for eSports titles and new AAA games, non of which even is on the Chroma Workshop except for Overwatch. So basically, comparing Chroma First Party Integrated games, the likelihood of a developer integrating Paid to Play would be really slim.

Well, we could also take into consideration that most steam games already have a good number of achievements for them, that as far as I am aware have little purpose beyond bragging rights. If Razer could co-op with valve and give those achievements silver value, we could at least get a good starting point, especially since a good portion of the current p2p games are accessible through steam (Warframe, Rocket league, Subnautica, to name a few, and 3/5 of the current featured p2p games as well).

After March 1st I will be switching to another program similar to this one.
If they reinstate the paid to play program, I might consider returning in the future, otherwise its been fun.

The implications here are largely exaggerated.
This is an easy question for us to answer - zSilver isn't going away any time soon.

The Paid to Play program is not everything zSilver - you may read about it in our consolidated thread on the suspension of this campaign.

Hopefully they readjust the pricing of their products to match the rate of gaining zsilver =D. Wish I heard about the zsilver program earlier T_T

zSilver is a loyalty program currency and it's not going to die, yet ;) also it was fine until P2P.
P2P was meant for something BIG and innovative but its creators has underestimated the human nature.
