Mats for Mobile Use

  1. Just wondering, what meat would you recommend that is cheap and portable, but still performs well? I prefer a more rough, grippy surface than a smooth one.

Go with Goliathus Control edition if you don't want a smooth surface.
It comes in all sizes and can be rolled inside a box for portability.

Just from eyeballing the choices in the Razerzone I would recommend the Razer Goliathus Mobile It seems to the picture of what you want. Small, portable, and at $7.99 it's meets you affordable requirement.

There’s also goliathus mobile stealth that bit rougher than old Kabuto if you like plain not eyes catch version, good grip gum but a bit smaller than Kabuto though. It’s my main mobile mousepad for cloth beside sphex mini v2 with hard surface.

I have always preferred soft heavily textured mouse pads so like decade or so ago I got a Goliathus Control & never looked back till a few month ago when I realized it had more dirt, grime, & spilled sweet tea stuck in it from 10+ years of use then I'd ever be able to get clean so when I saw a Firefly on sale at Target for $18 I jumped on it. I got to say it's actually a lot nicer then I remember hard pads being. From what you said about your needs I'd say the Golathus Control would be perfect for you.

If you want RGB I would go with a Firefly. That's what I have the non cloth version.

The firefly hard is a hard surface, and Razer has made other hard surface mats like the Invicta, Vespula V2 and the Destructor 2 just to name a few. You can see them all here.
If you want thin, The Sphex V2 is the one for you. It is super thin and cheap.
