    Hello!
I'm an international student who is currently studying in US, and so far I was impressed with what Razer is doing with their Blade laptops; extreme portability and strength of a gaming laptop. I'm looking to do my college tasks on this beast and also play AAA games maxed out. So due to the close release of Pascal architecture mobility series that had already made a significant difference in its desktop series which delivered up to 3x the performance of the previous-gen Maxwell architecture, I really can't wait to see how would this gpu fares when Razer squeezes this in their upcoming Blade. Therefore, I'm currently waiting to buy the Blade 2017.

So what are your expectations/wishlist for the Razer Blade 2017?

    Here is mine:
    - The upcoming Pascal architecture (GTX 1070M)
    - Borderless display (Dell XPS 15 style).
    - Samsung 950 PRO SSD.
    - Bluetooth 5.0.
    - USB-A 3.1 ports (Instead of the 3.0)
    - Longer battery life.
    - Better touchpad "mouse" button click sound.
    - Quieter fan sound with better cooling system.

  2. As long as it has Pascal (or the latest Nvidia by that time), a better touchpad, and an extra M.2 slot, I'm happy. Although I would love a better display without the "ridiculous for a $2000 machine" bezels.

I wonder if they will actually implement a 1070m and still be able to sell it for 2000$

I doubt they will use the 1070m in the blade with the same dimension. Somethings got to give, this time, laptop size.

You are going to get a hefty custom tax when bringing it back home.

  7. I agree with your list except for the border less screen. I think it looks weird if the screen has no border but then your keyboard has a border on it. I'd rather they just decrease the size of the border.

How so? and how would they know about it? It's only one laptop and It will be carried in the hand luggage in the airport. It's Just like how I bring back my current laptop to home.

I don't mind both. This ugly bezel should be dealt with, but still, look at the design of Dell XPS 15, yet its keyboard also has a border.

My only wish is that they get rid of the anti glare coating on the display that makes it not clear and better viewing angles.

Would like to see a system that is VR ready from Razer in 2017.

    Better heat management.
Less bezel, more like the infinity screen.
    Razer logo as start button.

Yet the Dell XPS 15 has an Immensely ugly keyboard and surrounding carbon fiber case below the screen, because there is so much space and they didn't use it for anything. It's frustrating to me that Dell had so much space, and they did nothing with it, they just threw carbon fiber over it all and kept a crammed keyboard.

If the next Blade were to be bezek-less, it'd have to be a 15-16" laptop, because you can't cut the bezels without either removing the up-facing speakers and cramming the keyboard, or enlarging the screen. I understand that everyone hates the huge bezels, I do too. But you've got to realize that it's a 14" laptop. Not a 14.3 or 14.5 inch or 15 inch. With the keyboard and speaker components not being crammed and fitting in the base, and it having a 14" screen, those bezels currently have to exist.

  14. Why would size have to be increased? Especially considering that the 1070m is expected to use less power but still have better performance (with less heat!). Newer Intel CPUs can only improve themal management too (hopefully!).

By that time, games will be more power hungry (higher FPS, more objects), utilizing more power too. It's like internet bandwidth. During 3G period, we have FHD videos, now with 4G, we have UHD videos. Once you give that hardware boost, softwares will want to fully utilize it. You get the gist.

Why the hell no one is talking about OLED display? i personally think it would be one of the best additions to the entire blade family.
It would make the screen even more beautiful
Furthermore huge resolutions wouldn't hurt battery life and fps in games as you can switch individual pixels off and lower the resolution.

I would like to see Dual Thunderbolt 3, quieter fans, and a better screen-to-body ratio, in addition to your list of course!

the bezel should not be as small as it could get, it'll look stupid. I feel that it should be as wide as the keyboard.
