Razer Blade: anyone using precision drivers for the touchpad?

I'm currently using them, I followed a guide published here: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-enable-precision-touchpad-drivers

I must say that I'm impressed, it is working lovely and the precision drivers are like a totally diferent thing. Gestures work great, and I'm not experiencing any problems. Some people mentioned that the touchpad stopped working for them after resuming but it is not being my case.

Just close the lid. Wait a while. Then open again and touchpad will not work without a restart. Source: myself on a blade 2017

Same here, after sleeping it is though still working but if you close the lid, and wake it up, cursor stop working:/ Heve to restart. It's bad news for anyone who are using it without a mice. Maybe a fix will come, since it just released yesterday.

Yes, some people is reporting that. As a matter of fact, the referenced article mentions it (one of the two guys that have written the article has the drivers working fine, while the other experiences this problem). Mine is working perfectly after four standbys, one of those being a whole-night lid down.

Which model do you have? It was no problem with waking up from sleep mode if the lid is open but once I close the lid, let it a while then wakes it up and cursor issue. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the synaptic from Razer problem solved;). I don't use trackpad a lot but if those problem still exist on my machine, sometimes especially on the go I would definitely face a problem with it. So i play save;) I didn't find any complaints about its form factory trackpad though, in synaptic i have also gasture options that I need.

I see, mark from Windows central has tested it on Blade late 2016. On Redit someone with Blade 2015 didn't even manage to get the driver, so i think it's for specific model. Enjoy the update though;)

I have the late 2016 QHD model and it doesn't even work to begin with. The trackpad doesn't response. :slightly_sad:
At least I made a backup before trying.

Very easy to rollback guys. You just uninstall the drivers and reinstall the razer ones

What precision can do actually, sorry I don't use too much my Blade trackpad, only for pointing when i don't use my mouse;) Anyway after clean install synaptic even no option on windows setting i still can do three finger gasture like Switch multi tasking etc, is precision better than synaptic?

The precision drivers allows for many configuration options for the 3 finger or 4 finger gestures....such as backward/forward navigation in browser, volume up/down, maximize/minimize a window, snap window to the right/left, next/previous track, etc.....Allowing for a much better customization to each one's needs.

I see, back/forward one is nice to have like safari i missed that. Changing windows and snapping it i could do that with keyboard task. Hmm I'll figure it next week;)
