I see, deathstalker ultimate switchblade. I don’t really know about touchpad on keyboard since this hybrid precision driver showed for laptops with elan or Synaptics.

UPDATE: the drivers provided by the tutorial work on the Deathstalker Ultimate, but at the cost of the RBS trackpad being unusable. So I guess those that have a Switchblade UI device no longer need to use outdated drivers with restricted features. [IMG]

Didn’t notice that, since for me Keyboard and touchpad isn’t being used when gaming I’m using BWX te with Lancehead for that, and in typing didn’t also notice that. Anyway I’ll try it later.

Are you sure this "fixed" the issue and you still have no USB, trackpad, keyboard issues after closing the lid and waking it up again?

Hey all, I'd like to get in on this fix, as I'm currently fighting the "inop after sleep" issue on my Kaby Lake RB14. After following vistar's helpful guide, I still lost touchpad response (on battery) even on 19.2.11.0, and have been dicking with solutions for hours. I'm now seeing that the Fall Creators Update (1709) is likely responsible.

At this point, my options seem to be either A) revert to 1703 or B) wait for new updates.
    Sound about right?

True, 1709 is “the guy behind the scene”, I would revert to 1703 and update it when the fix comes. Precision driver works with 1703, well if you don’t use the trackpad for gaming (just found it doesn’t move if you’re pressing any keyboards key).

@AssaultKittens, this guide was to how to use precision driver for 1703 (CU), it does not apply to the FCU (1709) issue where the touchpad freezes upon wake from sleep or hibernation on battery only. Note: some people have had keyboard and usb issues on top of that.
This thread ended being "hijacked" by the FCU issue, especially because other threads dedicated to the FCU issue have been locked.
Sorry, if the title and info led to believe that the precision driver would solve the issue with the Fall Creators Update, it does not.
So at this point, I have tried everything I can think of, different synaptics drivers, with or without the precision driver addon, different Serial IO drivers (particular related to IC2), Intel MEI drivers, bios settings in the the unlocked version, and yes the simple Link State Power Management OFF posted earlier. All to no avail.
The only workaround I found, that apparently doesn´t work for everybody or all models, is to put the laptop to sleep using the power button, then once asleep, close the lid. Works for me, everytime. Either way, got tired of the waiting for an official solution and trying to find one myself, so reverted to 1703 for now.....nothing really special in the 1709 that I need....so better off waiting for Razer to sort things out.
One suggestion to perhaps speed things up, is to everyone facing the issue with FCU to open a support ticket, so that they know how many people are affected and don´t get an impression that is only a small amount of users that are affected. After all, it affects most laptops, older RB, newer RB, and the stealth. If the solution is a firmware or Bios update for all the models, I also suggest waiting a while before installing, since these have caused problems, in the past, on numerous machines where an RMA is necessary to fix it. If it turns out to be a simple driver update, then great, no issues there with potentially bricking the machine.

On reddit and on this thread, a few people said they have no issues.....or managed to fix it, but hard to confirm, and even, if true, doesn´t apply to most of us affected by this bug. Which, by the way, is only on Razer systems for this particular issue. I am sure Razer Support is scrambling on this, because of how widespread it is, among various models, so the more people reporting it, the more they now know how generalized the issue acutally is.

Cool, I'll begin the windows downgrade now. It wasn't that I thought it would work on the FCU, it's that I didn't pay attention to that detail lol.

Now as far as this support ticket goes, you mean email Razer and inform them "my touchpad mod with precision driver does not work on version 1709" or is there another way I should be wording this? I definitely want to be helpful with this.

Open a support ticket on the support page, don´t mention the precision mod, since they may blame that for the issue. The issue is present even after a clean install using their drivers....so it has nothing to do with the precision driver mod. The issue is present even using generic windows drivers, before updating to the official synaptics drivers for the RB. At one point, during a clean windows pro install, the issue wasn´t present, but after all the updates, it came back, couldn´t pin point where.....uninstalled windows KB update, no dice, it seems to me something related to the lntel Serial IO, MEI or even Chipset drivers, don´t know.....strangely only Razer Systems, all models, are affected by this issue in particular......that´s why I say they must be scrambling. That is also why I suggest opening an official support ticket, because although they are aware of the issue, they have no way of know how many actually are affected, and tend to say that "some users" are affected by this.
Staying on 1703, forever, is not an acceptable solution in my opinion, since Windows 10 is not like the past OS´s, where they can say that the new OS, like upgrading from 7 to 8, or 8 to 10, is not supported.

Cool, my option to "go back to a previous version of windows 10" is now missing. It was available when I posted earlier, now it isn't lol.

I did email tech support btw. +1 for the headcount.

Sometimes it pops out when your hard disk full to delete the previous windows backup, did you accidentally click it?

Check if your hard disks space became less than before, if not maybe you still have the chance to get it back some how. If you really deleted it well i hope the FCU fix will come soon, resetting windows is s__k.
