Could this be used as a mic for teamspeak, discord, etc? Love the sound from my speakers and hate wearing a headset but need it for talking in raids. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. Old lady new to all this stuff.

I'm hoping to be getting the Seiren Elite in a couple of week time. Will be a huge upgrade from the Blue Snowball which I'm currently using

Looks nice, and as far as I've heard the quality on the Siren X is pretty good.

However the cost of the Elite especially with the stand becomes a bit steep..

Wow! If I streamed, Seiren Pro will be the mic sitting on my desk. Has anyone found a thread about razer deathadder elite scroll squeek? Bec I found out a way to stop it; pour non-conductive rubbing alchahol in the scroll wheel, leave to set for 24 hours. I used it while the achahol was in its setting process and the sensor was dead becuase it could'nt track the mousemat. Wait a while be4 using it lol.

Nice to see older people in the community! The Razer Silen Elite is just a good performing microphone. As such, while hooked to the computer, it can be used for anything that the computer itself supports.

Be it using TeamSpeak, Ventrilo, recording music, talking on Skype, or anything that uses a microphone really. Instead of using the built-in microphones (which usually do the job for low-quality VoIP calls, but are not the best quality out there) the computer operating system will use the high-performing microphone instead (if it's set to do so in the Settings of course).

So yes, you can definitely use this microphone for your raids, and judging by the reviews you will have a pretty good quality microphone as well! I however do not recommend the investment of such an expensive mic for just guild raids and etc., since the audio transmitted through such applications is heavily compressed anyway, so the plethora of the benefits will be lost. I would recommend rather going with a good external microphone (I use the one on my webcam, while not the best, it's better than my built-in laptop one and does the job). There is a certain brand that I hear often when comparing the Razer Siren, but I will admit I do not know much about microphones and the microphone market.

An upgrade to my webcam mic would definitely be the Razer Siren, and the Elite is great for streaming and other high-quality stuff. But the Elite used just for raids is an overkill. Get the Razer Siren (the non-elite version) instead.

I have a Razer DeathAdder Elite, what mouse scroll squeak do you mean? Also, when cleaning or using isopropyl alcohol near your electronics, make sure you are using 100% clean Isopropyl Alcohol. This needs to be clearly stated on the bottle and verified with the manufacturer, since sometimes there is confusion on the vendor side.

100% Isopropyl Alcohol is a non-conductive liquid. 70/30 % Isopropyl contains 30% water, and as we all know, water is conductive. Most likely the alchohol you used contained water and combined with you using the mouse (providing power) it caused a short somewhere in the circuit.

Using 100% clean alcohol should cause you no troubles, but I do not see why you would want to leave your mouse soaked for 24 hours. What you call "the alcohol setting" is rather the isopropyl alcohol evaporating. It is known to evaporate quite fast (faster than water) so I suggest just cleaning the problematic areas, air drying it (if you have an external fan, leaving the parts in the high-airflow infront of the fan should fully dry them in 15-30 minutes, but make sure you have a look for yourself).

    The original seiren's didn't work on ps4, I'm guessing the 24bit 192khz sampling required usb2 class drivers which the ps4 doesn't support?

Does the x and/or elite work on the ps4? These two latest mics are only 16bit 48khz which makes me hopeful they will work, can anyone here plug them in and confirm one way or another (i can find nothing online about this question only that the older two mics don't work)

    thanks for any help!
