Nice try, will note that. Having a Blade made poeple know a lot about tweaking;) Hope Razer will notice that and brings some improvements to synapse, better Fan control, Battery save mode that could turn off synapse activity for battery boost etc...well more users friendly, settings that could be done by dummies like me;)

Yeah, I wish Synapse was more system-oriented like MSI's Dragon Center and such... Synapse focuses more on razer eco system rather than managing the devices... I wish they deboted less time to Synapse 3 (basically for mice) and more to performance based software.

I was just thinking about same things, yesterday i saw MSI Laptop by accident and saw the software that could change Fan like synapse, well I think it has 4 options, don’t really remember, and GPU CPU tweak seems could be done on their own software, nice setting for dummies, like me;) But again Razer laptops for me still unbeatable, simple design, less bloatware, cooler RgB light compare to competitors. Hope they manage improvement in full version synapse 3 since it quite long to be Beta v, and I’ll get some advantage for my Lancehead.

I remember trying to mess around with the settings but it would do nothing. I will check the video. I am pretty sure that changing the values in Bios does nothing since the fan curve is controlled by the EC firmware, at least on my skylake.

Hey man, any luck? I can confirm my machine flipped 100% on fans... I decreased the speed of trip point 1 from 75 to 50 and increased the threshold from 55 to 63. Then I increased trip point 0 from 75 to ~80 and left the 100% speed there... My fans never go off now except i am gaming ....

Kind busy to try it with new stealth and games since there are two big games released Evil within 2 and Shadow of War so at home I just want to play it on my Blade;)
You meant it’s never go on except gaming, didn’t you?

Lol! yes, I meant fans wont turn on except when I am gaming... where I am from we call "go off" to start, so confusing !!!! fans go off == fans start hahahaha

I’ll do the tricks once my fans going uncontrollable. Recently I’m using the 14 only for gaming. For work, media consumption and light usage i love my new Stealth, this tiny thing is really incredible, not as beast as the brother, always on my side every time on work, breakfast, before bed etc, only at gaming time I’ve to let her go;)

You got a 14 inches computer and a 13 inches one? Ain't that.... weird? I mean, don't get me wrong, good for you... but it kind of defeats the purpose of having a 14 inches gaming machine when you could have bought for the same money a tremendous gaming rig, no? Or for less the Core which with the gtx 1080 performs better than the razer blade.

It can. As I was once a proud owner of a MSI GT80s https://us.msi.com/Laptop/GT80S-TITAN-SLI-6th-Gen-GTX-980M-SLI.html
I ended up selling it my cousin that was going into graphic design and needed a good laptop. There started my trend toward razer! haha..

back to the subject. MSI has a dragon center that you can pick how it operates your gaming/non gaming experience. The most reserved mode and targeting toward battery life consumption on "eco mode/green" or through comfort mode and even full throttle at sport with GPU/CPU at max! This is while still having the ability to kick on the fans manually with a push of a button. Otherwise the Dragon Center will do it for you! I also had the 14 inch MSI gs40 which was nice....for storage and what it ran with system wise. MSI dragon center on this didn't do much good for manipulating the game. However, the build, temps, I was not the biggest fan of at all and didn't live in my house long before kicking it to the curve.

Your points are right as it seems the synapse is catered toward the "chroma world". Its a nice feature but I'd love to see options gearing toward the system as well.

No I have 12,5 QHD one, it still stated as new Blade Stealth though;) I was looking for an Ultrabook and dont want to carry around often 2K machine around. So Refurbished new Stealth is perfect to me imo, it cost me under 1k euro and it fullfiled all my need as Ultrabook. And i was also touch addict, and its 2K resolution is better for some app. Meanwhile 14 one is still my gaming beast, once it become weaker for my FHD gaming needs i will get Core eGPU set.
I was also aiming GS43 the next gen from 40 one, but the battery life wasnt as great as the Blade FHD and yes the build. I am hoping also that Razer extend the synapse not only focused on lightning, Fan control, and battery setting but also more system performace wise to match the user needs, and to avoid tweaking from users that could harm the system.

  12. I've started getting this stuttering as well - Intel iGPU drivers updated that's the only thing I can think of. Other than that the Pluggable USB-C dock with charger stutters when using some Razer peripherals like USB headset and mouse?

I’m using this dock recently like my old usb c hub my Razer mouse doesn’t work only my keyboard (BWX Te, HDD, DVD drive, numpad work. Don’t know USB headset but my headset work perfectly with dockings audio port.

  14. Just rolled back my system by 3 days using Windows System Restore and it has fixed the flickering and lagging (without the hub). I get no interference or lagging from mouse when I plug them directly into the laptop itself. Must be an issue with the USB-C/TB port drivers I reckon

Hey guys. Is anyone still having issues with the Windows 10 fall update and their Blade? The PSA thread that was started on this has either been deleted or moved somewhere else? I haven't updated yet, just want to see if others are fine? Kabylake Blade here.

Yes there is the issue of the touchpad freezing when waking from sleep on battery, only on battery since plugged in works fine. Even external mouse has issues, it works when waking from sleep, but lots of freezes, so it not just a simple touchpad driver issue. I have tried different touchpad, Intel serial IO, and intel MEI drivers with no success. I think a Bios update might be needed, hopefully not.
The only workaround I found is to put the laptop to sleep using the power button, then close the lid. Like this it works when waking no problem. The issue is only when one closes the lid to sleep on battery. Other than that, everything works fine but no major changes to Windows, so not a worthy upgrade at the moment with this touchpad sleep issue. For those that want to postpone indefinitely the upgarade, until a fix is provided by Microsoft or Razer, I suggest using O&O Shutup10, with the added benefit of being able to disable telemetry completely.

Thanks. I'll continue to hold off. My workaround has just been to set my network connection to "metered" which prevents auto updates. Why would Razer remove the thread that was started about this? It's a legit issue.

I agree it is a legit issue, but perhaps the wording in the thread was too critical of Razer when we all know after every Microsoft update, many issues arise on many machines. Razer is notoriously sensitive to criticism and frequently remove threads claiming it is not a support forum. Let´s see if Microsoft and Razer can figure it out soon, otherwise there will be many more posts about this.

Mine did Windows update automatically 2 days ago after restarting but thankfully it didn’t bring to fall update, don’t have much time rolling back and figuring something lately, a bit busy in...Elex, Evil within 2, shadow of War, and next week Odyssey and AC origin;)
it seems has been talked every where, bet Razer figuring it out now, but reviewers stealth and old Blade 2014 (from other post) seems no issues, weird.
