With a gtx 1060 you'll be playing (most) games at 25fps at 4K. For non-gaming use maybe it'd be more practical, yeah it is stunning though. Still, I have a 4K monitor and a 1440P 144hz monitor for my desktop rig. The 4K has been collecting dust...

Going on the price differential between the skylake QHD and FHD the marker is at $300 regardless of storage size- hoping that it stays there

why not hope for it to go down to $200? ;)

Price Difference on the Higher Res Displays is $300. So, Less Battery Time / Shitty Color Shift due to IGZO / Reflections / UI Scaling issues / More money / Finger Print Magnet Touch Screen.

Fair points but i do see the bright side,

To be fair all touchscreens are going to have fingerprints Issues and not mention so do all razer bodies anyway regardless of screen type. My solution would be to get a wipe and stay on top of it just as i do with my laptop and phones already

Viewing angles- i intend to stay directly in front of it so dont expect it to bother me much.

Colour shifts- plenty of calibrations and guides on the interweb to help suit different taste here. You cant fight the sheer volume of so many pixels packed into such tight real estate- 4k is glorious.

Scaling- depends whether the particular game can support it or not- if it cant scale it down. This cant be bad thing when u have the option to only go higher?

The way i see it u are either into glossy screens or not. For me i get the appeal- i know which one i want and am glad razer recognise it too and continue making it and hopefully release it "soon!"

    Hey guys, good news.

I got my replacement and it is a 100% perfect - literally. No bleed, nor nothing whatsoever... amazing. I am super happy.

There are still hopes for those looking to fix their bleeding problems.

Hmm someone said this was the issue.. who was it?? Oh wait! It was me!! Haha.. yea I discovered that when I first opened my box. Knew right away it had to be due to sealing issue of the bezel. Finally have my replacement coming wed or thurs. Just waiting for UPS site to update with my delivery date.

Edit: Got UPS update.. it's coming Wed for sure!

I am running the tests in my new blade. Performance is the same, the big difference is the lack of bleed on the screen, like 100%. I got really lucky. Fans etc work great as well. I am doing dual monitor development work now and after undervolting, fans rarely come up.

    Tweaks:
Uninstalled: Killer Suite / Geforce Exp (I just don't use it)
    CPU @ -105 V
PCIe Link State Power - Off

    Intel XTU Bench: 978 @ 77c - max 3.56GHz

    GPU Stock - Firestrike stock
    GPU 125 / 200 - Firestrike

While gaming, temps are a bit hotter on the GPU using +125/200. CPU the are the same max 86 min 78 on BF1 same settings. Can't complain.

Good stuff man... I'll be back to testing soon. Crossing my fingers I get a good unit on Wed. Then I will most likely hit up the MS store if all goes well on Friday to warranty it.

When did you email them? And did you get the automated email confirming they received yours?

I've been emailing them for the past full week. They keep asking if I want Credits or a damm refund. I started this wed of last week. -__-.. Yes I get those stupid confirmation emails.

Do you happen to have a case number you could provide me?

Ditto. My RMA received automated email was Feb 27. Still waiting for refund. Never ordering anything direct from Razer again. I'm at 16 business days. Emailed support 2 days ago and they "are looking into it." If nothing happens in next 2 days I'll be disputing the charge with my CC company.
