    No, I didn't understand you.....sorry.
No problem just type @razer to save the confusion :)
I actually would have thought Max Q would have been the trigger for the next setup or even in the Blade. At least that is what I was hoping for. Then again not sure if the saving would have been there to justify. who knows.

Ok Razer. Let's be real here. If you are shipping this with a 120hz monitor (which sounds amazing), why pair it with a GTX 1060. We aren't going to be able to run a lot of titles at 120fps with this GPU. This is going to result in some tearing or stutter or something of the sort and not show the full potential of this machine. It would be ideal to ship this with a GTX 1070 so we can get the full use out of this monitor.

I'm not sure if it costs $300 to upgrade a screen and give it 3" more than the Razer blade. It would just be nice to have this with a GTX 1070 at this price point. (Hey, maybe even throw in that mechanical keyboard too, then it would be perfect! ;)

    Thanks for reading.

You should see what Dell / Alienware charges.....

And they get away with it!

Indeed Alienware is expensive, but Razer is in another league in terms of price. Alienware 17 with GTX1080, i7-7820HK, 1440p 120Hz...ok no ssd, and 8GB Ram, but that can be easily upgraded later. So really, no comparison in terms of price. Sure the RB Pro has the aluminum unibody, is thinner and lighter, has chroma, but no one can argue that it is not the most expensive in its class and by far.

To add to my previous statement to Razer:

You are shipping this with 256 SSD + 2 TB HDD. I don't know the last time I have filled let alone 1 TB of storage on a single drive; If I have, and others, have used more than that, the project or anything is normally stored on an external server or upwards of 10+ TB Drive. Personally I think that this decision is a bit much and the price of drives could be used on other nicer things for this laptop. Shipping this with 128/256 SSD + 1TB HDD is plenty of storage for a laptop of any sort.

My proposition for this laptop to be ideal and use it's features to its fullest extent would be:

Keep the FHD 120hz display and add in GSync if possible (because for some reason it doesn't have it)
GTX 1070 (To be able to use the display to its fullest potential)
    Keep the processor
    Keep the amount of ram
128/256 SSD + 1TB HDD (because who needs 2TB on a laptop HD)
And maybe throw in that mechanical keyboard if there is room in the budget.

I would be all over this machine if is had closer to this config.

All for around the same price as it is now ($2300). With this config, I believe that not only would a lot more people be willing to buy this machine at this price point, but the machine would also be able to use its features to it's fullest extent, keep it from feeling like a whole bunch or random, and place this machine more of a middle ground from the razer blade and the 4k razer blade pro.

P.S. Most gaming laptop in the $2000 price range come with a gtx 1070 as a base; A gtx 1060 is usually found in the $1500 range laptops. I beg of razer to let me configure one with less storage and a gtx 1070

Maybe Razer will add one to the zsilver store eventually once they get the program running as a finely tuned machine.

Razer should slow down IMO. Looks to me like the worker bees are being worked to death! Do the workers at Razer even get breaks? They should get bathroom ones at least! lol j/k

All I know is that I'm ashamed to even mention what I spent on alienware. With the amount of money I spent, it's an embarrassment to them that I had to go thru 3 of their laptops before the "service" phone calls and "service" visits stopped.

You know the drill, as soon as it re-sets.

I'm honestly hoping when they release the next gen pro they put a better customization page up so you could get exactly the version of the laptop you want.

I'd personally love to see (and would most likely fork over the money for), a version with,

8th gen mobile processors (they're upping the count to 6 cores)
A 1080 Max-Q (slightly better than 1070 performance, and more efficient)
120hz screen (or 144hz like the new Chimera Laptop if possible)
    99 WHR battery
Full on ram and HDD plus SSD customizing so you get exactly what you want
And gunmetal grey (because it's awesome)

It would be even more bad ass if they could also make an AMD version like with specs comparable to the ROG GL702ZC to lower costs plus have a desktop chip, but I'm guessing that'll never happen.

V nice but not for me. I couldn't trust spending that much on a laptop with no physical stores to go to if need repairs

You must be new to Razer. From my (also limited) experience,
the word 'customization' is foreign to them. People celebrate
when they get to choose between FHD and 4k/UHD. That's
more or less the extent at the moment.

(On a side note: this "trend" seems to be fairly wide, even HP
and Dell, both of which used to offer _full_ or very extensive
build-to-order customization, have started to limit their options
significantly during the last few years; and, especially so, when
it comes to their gaming lines: Omen and Alienware. Having
said that, they are still *much* more customizable than Razer.)

I remember that, that's when I got my alienware. They had a crap load of options to pick. Like a jackass I picked all the most expensive options. Then I got a fricken lemon......

honestly a GTX 1060 with a 7700HQ and a 1080P screen for 2.3K USD??? You can get those specs in a laptop for $1000. So the rest is just for the brand, but this is srsly a little too pricey isn't it?
