What was your first gaming rig?
And by that question i mean not an actual "gaming rig" but the actual specs of the first computer you used for gaming.

and also what do you use today, how did your rig evolve? (even share a pic if you like)

    My rig

    Then:
i started gaming on an average laptop, like 4gb Ram Core i3, all games were super laggy but still i was glad i could at least boot em up lol

    Now:
i got a job and got an x99 Motherboard/6Core i7/16gb Ram/GTX960 (saving up for pascal)
OH and of course a bunch of Razer stuff
    Blackwidow Chroma
    Mamba
    Kraken 7.1 chroma
    Firefly

I started PC Gaming on a 486 in the 90s ... does that count? The 486 had a TURBO mode! :)

I think that was the CPU, i486 DX2-66

    Yes, I'm old.

Now? I run some form of Gigabyte MB with an i7-4770K CPU, 16G RAM, GeForce GTX 1080 with several Razer peripherals.

Ha! The same :D Mine was a monster these days: 486-DX2 100Mhz (and famous Turbo mode), 16MB of RAM, 1.19GB HDD and Win 3.11

Before this, had Atari 2600 clone: River Raid and Keystone Kapers FTW :)

Wow! Back then 16MB of RAM by itself used to cost as much if not more than a complete 2017 gaming rig! lol

But I don't consider them as gaming rigs :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Well, I also used it for homework since I also had a word processor named PaperClip, had both a letter quality AND a dot matrix printer, and modem that ran at a blazing 1200 baud! I was rockin' it those days. :big_grin_:

And of course, gaming. Much gaming. So yeah, it was still a rig to me. :wink_:

Mine was an old 2010 or 2011 model of an Acer Laptop, And it could only run Minecraft and other very small games like such. Since then i got a new Laptop and a Desktop, And I am saving for a new Gaming PC that is purpose built that I am planning to buy this June or July.
Still own the old Acer, But it doesn't run any games now and has hard problems running anything at all. The small laptop took a fair bit of abuse for a laptop that was made mainly for light office type stuff.

The first thing I ever gamed on was an old ColecoVision - and man, I played that thing to death! (literally. lol)

The first PC I played games on was a very old Tandy 1000 using good ole floppy disks, which were often upwards of 10-14 disks per game. lol

Since then I've had / built many various PC's and have owned close to all of the consoles through the years. It's been such an incredible journey through gaming since I started, approximately 35 years ago, and I'll be honest I'm quite excited to see where this journey leads us over the next 35 years. If things keep improving at the rate they've gone thus far then we're in for some mind-blowing experiences!!

My first PC was an AMD Duron 2500+ CPU based with 256 MB of RAM, 80GB HDD and a ASUS V999 ULTRA DELUXE AGP VIDEO card. I will post a pic with the system in the evening today.

The fatalities i committed on Ultimate MK 3 were impressive actually.

Though, that thing remained as the first and only console i had.
